This vision, this reality is HyperCars.


At HyperCars we have a vision to create a new racing series, using real cars built to be as fast as possible, pushing drivers beyond their normal limits, raced in the safety of a controlled space.

We want to create a racing series where the limits are removed, no stifling regulations, 4-figure horsepower, speedometers that don't max out, cars that look like the Batmobile, g-forces to melt your faces in cars that can be driven home at the end of the day!

Spectacular racing for the fans and drivers, a race format that mixes things up, no steady eddies, just fast and furious.

Teams and drivers that push the boundaries, don't accept "normal", use the series to try new things.  If it doesn't work, so what - change it for next time.  If you're not there you've already lost.

The Rules

Everyone knows rules are boring, so there aren't many rules;

  • Get the fastest road legal car possible;
  • Modify it to make it better
  • Race it as fast as possible
  • The first past the finish line wins

There is a bit more to it than that, but that is essentially it.

The Spirit

• Find the fastest road legal car that still looks like a (aggressively styled) road car
• No limits and no artificial restrictions
• Drive road relevant R&D
• Be entertaining and engaging for the fans
• Challenge drivers to their limits 

The Cars

• The Cars must be road legal
• Cars must have two seats side by side when viewed from the front
• Cars must have two opening doors
• Cars must be capable of taking one cabin sized bag
• Cars must have a windscreen reaching a height not lower than the top of the drivers helmet
• MSA safety standards must be met
• No equalisation
• No restriction on electronic aids

The Series

• Multiple championship events will take place at each meeting
- Even if a car crashes out or suffers a problem there will be another opportunity for the teams and driver race again to win and for the fans to watch their heroes.
• Events will be mixed
- Cars must be fast over a number of different events to be crowned champion, not just a hardcore track car.
